Bequignol is a grape variety that was once used as a blending component in red wines from Bordeaux, but is now found more commonly in the vineyards of Mendoza, Argentina. The variety is still not overly common in Argentina, but plantings far surpass those of France. While the variety is quite productive and performs well in dry conditions. They are light and best consumed young like this offering.
This wine family, led by Luis Soria (winemaker) and Gonzalo Testa (Viticulturist), grew up in the vineyards and is sharing with us some amazing wines. On several occasions we have had the honor of sharing an asado (bbq) with these families and enjoyed their wines together. Not only are they one of the most likable families around, all of their wine is of excellent quality. It was very, very difficult to pick only four wines to import.
