Hailing from the Uco Valley in Mendoza, this limited production wine paints a portrait of sophistication and depth. Its deep purple-red hues, reminiscent of the Argentine night sky, precede a sensory journey. Breathe in the enchanting aromas of ripe plums, dried figs, and subtle spices, intertwined with hints of green pepper and fennel. The palate unfolds with a bold initiation, revealing a harmonious interplay of sweet yet assertive tannins. Cultivated in the elevated terrain of Los Chacayes IG, where the soil bears the mark of ancient wisdom, this wine embodies the spirit of the region. Aged for 15 months in second and third-use French oak, this wine is a testament to patience and precision, with only 200 cases in existence. Indulge in its complexity alongside red meats, rich red sauces, roasted vegetables, and the luxurious embrace of fine chocolates, and let every sip transport you to the heart of Argentina's winemaking excellence.
This wine family, led by Luis Soria (winemaker) and Gonzalo Testa (Viticulturist), grew up in the vineyards and is sharing with us some amazing wines. On several occasions we have had the honor of sharing an asado (bbq) with these families and enjoyed their wines together. Not only are they one of the most likable families around, all of their wine is of excellent quality. It was very, very difficult to pick only four wines to import.
